we are not a restaurant
every wednesday and thursday,
we serve a 2.5 course vegetarian menu; a main, side & dessert
(vegan option available)

we use vegetables and herbs from our own agro-ecological farm as much as possible and supplement with produce from neighbouring organic farms when available
​
our inspiration for the canteen is derived largely from Gordon Matta Clark, Carol Goodden, and Tina Girouard’s restaurant FOOD that was based in SOHO, manhattan in the early 1970s. the restaurant’s menu was experimental and changed daily, but was always affordable and simple. additionally, people were encouraged to dwell, facilitating an atmosphere of community and camaraderie in the space.

tables are communal, just like the rest of the experience

all tickets must be purchased before dinner. NO WALK INS

menus change weekly; wednesday and thursday evenings will have the same menu

dinners are sliding scale with the following breakdown:

€15 - covers meal costs

€17.50 - covers canteen production costs

€20 - supports canteen operational costs

you might be asked to move down a seat to squeeze in another guest, bus your own plate, or help move a table. If you are able, we appreciate your cooperation

we might not be able to accommodate your allergies, so please reach out beforehand to confirm

drinks available during dinner

we cannot host groups larger than 6

dogs welcome if they are friendly (with people and other animals)

if you would like to join for dinner but cannot afford it please send us an email so that we can try to work something out

the intention of this project is to create a space where people can eat filling, affordable, locally grown food, and get to know people in their community by having a place to land. Within this understanding there are rules of conduct and if you don’t follow them you might be asked to leave​

Every evening will have 2 seatings:
seating 1 17.30 - 19.30
seating 2 20.00 - 22.00

if you are part of a group reservation but prefer to purchase your tickets individually, please choose one person's name to put all reservations under.

cancellation policy:
if you cancel more than 48 hours in advance you will be reimbursed for your dinner minus processing fees
if you cancel less than 48 hours in advance, we unfortunately cannot reimburse your purchase.
